Taylor Swift closed out her history-making Eras Tour on Sunday night in Vancouver after an astonishing 149 shows spanning 21 countries across five continents.

“We’ve toured the entire world with this tour,” the “Fortnite” singer told the crowd at the start of the final show. “We’ve had so many adventures. This has been the most exciting, powerful, electrifying, intense, and challenging thing I’ve ever done in my life. We’ve had the honor of performing for over 10 million people on this tour, and tonight we get to play one last show for you here in beautiful Vancouver. And we’re going to make it count.”

Indeed, more than 10 million fans have attended the Eras Tour, which has earned over $2 billion in ticket sales, as was revealed on Monday. This milestone makes the Eras Tour the first tour in history to surpass the $2 billion mark.

Before Swift took the stage for her final performance, her opening act, Gracie Abrams, delivered a heartfelt speech that resonated deeply with Swifties everywhere.

“Like all of you, I’ve grown up with Taylor’s songs, which have met moments in my life when I didn’t think anyone else could understand or know the pain, love, loss, or longing I was feeling—and yet, she did,” the “Close To You” singer said, fighting back tears. “How are we supposed to find the words for it? We don’t yet, but I do know that we have each other, thanks to Taylor, her music, her generosity, her curiosity, her wild and unparalleled pen, and her superpower of seeing into our lives and creating soundtracks for every single formative moment that we’ve had and that we will have.”

The BC Place crowd gave Swift a lengthy standing ovation after her performance of the Evermore track “Champagne Problems,” visibly moving her.

“This tour has been an adventure of a lifetime,” she said, her voice filled with emotion. “I speak on behalf of my band, my crew, my fellow performers, who all left their families, spent time away from everything they know and love, and performed when they were sick or dealing with personal challenges. They made sure this show happened for you, and I just want to say on behalf of all of us, we will never forget you giving us that moment. Thank you so much.”

As expected, the emotions were high throughout the evening, but they reached a peak during Swift’s final acoustic set, when she traditionally surprises fans with unexpected songs.

“We’ve had so much time to prepare for the end of this tour,” Swift said while introducing the final surprise songs. “I’ve been thinking about which songs really capture how I feel about tonight, so I decided to go back to the beginning.”

Swift performed a mashup of “A Place in This World” from her 2006 debut album and “New Romantics” from 1989 on guitar. She also played a mashup of the Speak Now track “Long Live,” the Reputation song “New Year’s Day,” and “The Manuscript” from her latest album The Tortured Poets Department on piano.

During “Long Live,” Swift made a notable change to the lyric “It was the end of a decade,” singing instead, “It was the end of an era,” symbolizing the conclusion of what she described on stage as her “beloved” Eras Tour.

Following her final bow, the show concluded with a sentimental group hug among Swift, her dancers, and backing vocalists. Instead of disappearing through the trap door as she had during previous shows, Swift walked off the stage alongside her fellow performers.

When the lights came back on, credits for her band, dancers, and backing vocalists were displayed on the big screen, marking the emotional end of an unforgettable tour.
